Translation of a literary masterpiece from Marathi to Hindi is certainly going to garner interest from the readers, writers, and the literary fraternity.
Acclaimed writer Jyoti Jha collaborates with the genius literary doyen Dr Avinash Biniwale, on the translation project of his masterpiece ‘Iran- Paarashyaanche TeerthKshetra’ from Marathi to Hindi. Recipient of the Hindi Sahitya Akademi Award for his Hindi novel ‘Jai Kailash’, honored with the Dr. Ashok Kelkar Award for his contribution to the field of Literature and Language by the Maharashtra government, Dr. Avinash Biniwale has done pioneering work in the field of German studies. Having written 75 books, he is a linguist, researcher, and a retired professor at Mumbai's Elphinstone College, and he has been awarded as a part of the celebrations for Marathi Day. Pune resident Dr. Biniwale is known for his work in languages, especially creating vowel and consonant sounds of German in Devanagari script, used for Marathi. A graduate of Fergusson College, he completed his master's degree from MU. He says he has always been interested in languages and his work on German and Marathi began right in his undergraduate days.
“As luck might have it, I am bestowed with the honor of translating Dr. Biniwale’s 75th book ‘इरान- पारश्यांचे तीर्थक्षेत्र’ from Marathi to Hindi. I am both excited and nervous, as the two languages remain close to my heart, and I hope I can do justice to the great literary work”, says Jyoti. Considering this a truly enlightening opportunity, Jyoti is all set to work on the translation project under the expert guidance of the inspired genius who has redefined the meaning of writing, Dr. Avinash Biniwale.
An HR-turned-Author, Entrepreneur, Columnist, and Speaker at the Times LitFest, IITs, and IIMs, an honorable Jury Member at the Kashiyatra IIT BHU, Jyoti Jha is a proud winner of several literary awards and accolades. Her books have garnered much appreciation from readers, prominent media houses, and the literary fraternity. She contributes to both Hindi and English literature. She has been recently conferred with the Honorary Doctorate from Universal Education University and has been selected for the literary honor ‘Vidya Vachaspati (Honorary Doctorate) from the esteemed Vikramsheela University. Her Hindi book ‘Aanandi’ has created quite a buzz in the literary circuit, among prominent media houses, and has been widely appreciated by readers. The book has been adapted for Theatrical representation by Saimona Creation under Let’s Inspire Bihar led by the erudite leader, IPS Mr Vikas Vaibhav. The book has also been made into an Audiobook by Pune-based Zankar Studios for Storytel. Apart from the translation of Dr. Biniwale’s literary masterpiece, ‘Iran- Paarashyaanche TeerthKshetra’, she is parallelly working on her next book on Autism, ‘Beyond Spectrum- Positive Parenting’ inspired by Mothers Touch Deoghar, and translation of the short story collection, ‘Chaubatiya’ from Angika to Hindi language, as a literary tribute to her father.
‘Iran- Paarashyaanche TeerthKshetra’ represents the travel experience of Dr Biniwale to the ethnically diverse, mountainous, and arid country of southwestern Asia, formerly known as Persia. The Hindi version of the book is positively going to reach a wider market and audience to have an immersive experience of the country with its rich and distinctive culture.
