A major calendar event in the publishing world, the New Delhi World Book Fair is the most awaited literary event in the country. The 51st edition of the Book Fair held from 10-18 February 2024, was conducted in the colossal venue, Pragati Maidan New Delhi. The event witnessed a mammoth gathering of readers, writers, authors, publishing houses, and literary enthusiasts from all around the world. Organized by the National Book Trust (NBT) under the Ministry of Education, the book fair celebrated the mosaic of Indian languages under the theme, ‘Bahubhashi Bharat’. A diverse crowd, extensive display of books, interesting sessions, and cultural activities saw the melting point of art, culture, and literature appealing to every literary fan and blending creative aspects with business opportunities for visitors of all kinds.

Pune-based acclaimed writer Jyoti Jha’s translated work ‘Iran-Paarsiyon Ka Teerthkshetra’ was launched at the World Book Fair under Pustaknama Publication at the Lekhak Manch. The book has been translated into Hindi by Dr. Jyoti Jha from the original literary masterpiece of Hindi Sahitya Akademi Winner, Jeewan Gaurav Sammaan awardee, multilinguist and literary doyen Dr. Avinash Biniwale’s 75th Marathi book ‘Iran-Paarshyanche Teerthkshetra’. “I feel lucky to get the opportunity to not only translate the literary masterpiece of a literary genius but also to be trusted with the responsibility of representing him at the Book Launch event and the prestigious platform with literary stalwarts”, Jyoti Jha said during the book launch. TEDx Speaker, Times LitFest Speaker, Pune International Literary Festival Speaker, Speaker at several IITs and IIMs, Judge at Kashiyatra-IITBHU, Authored books in Hindi and English, Receiver of several literary awards, Awarded with Vidya Vachaspati from Vikramsheela University, and Times of India Write India Season 3 Winner, Jyoti Jha is an HR-turned-Author and a mother who has rebuild her career through pursuit of passion.

Honored with the Dr. Ashok Kelkar Award for his contribution to the field of Literature and Language by the Maharashtra government, Dr. Avinash Biniwale has done pioneering work in the field of German studies. Having written 79 books, he is a linguist, researcher, and retired professor at Mumbai's Elphinstone College. ‘Iran- Paarashyaanche TeerthKshetra’ represents the travel experience of Dr Biniwale to the ethnically diverse, mountainous, and arid country of southwestern Asia, formerly known as Persia. “Dr Jyoti Jha is a sincere writer, and she has represented me at the book launch event very efficiently. She has captured the essence of the book very beautifully”, Dr. Biniwale said after the event.

Dr. RupaShree, Founder-Director of MothersTouch School Deoghar graced the Iran Book Launch event as the Chief Guest. An embodiment of women's empowerment, Dr. RupaShree has built her life’s journey through resilience and triumph. The proud receiver of the Bharat Gaurav Award and Rashtriya Shiksha Ratan Award, she has been praised for her contribution to the field of girl child education. Her school also has a dedicated batch for Autistic children, and she is consistently working on creating awareness about the rising concern of Autism Spectrum Disorder. “Jyoti Jha is a highly acclaimed and energetic young writer, and she has been consistently writing about women and children. She has authored several books, and this translated book on Iran is an intriguing subject”, she said during the book launch.

The book was launched along with 13 other books under the banner of Pustaknama Publication during the launch event of Sahitya Varshiki of Pustaknama, ‘Aahatein Aas Paas’. A comprehensive Yearbook of literature, art, and culture, the Sahitya Varshiki by Pustaknama is an enriching collection of literary pieces. Jyoti Jha’s article on ‘Artificial Intelligence- End of Creativity or the Path of Spontaneity’ has been published in the Sahitya Varshiki. The Varshiki Launch took place in the esteemed presence and participation of Novelist Kapil Isapuri, Poetess Savita Singh, Kishan Kaljayi, Editor- Samved, Arun Deo, Editor- Samalochan, Poet & Storywriter Prem Ranjan Animesh, Prof. (Germany) Divyaraj Amiya. During the launch, the literary stalwarts discussed rising concerns about diminishing human sensitivity and the usefulness of literature. Dr. Avinash Biniwale’s another masterpiece ‘Bomdila’ was also launched at the event. Maheshwar Dutt Sharma, Editor- Pustaknama, was present at the book launch and steered the event towards grand success. He later extended his best wishes to writer Jyoti Jha and said that the Hindi version of the book ‘Iran-Paarsiyon Ka Teerthkshetra’ is positively going to reach a wider market and give the audience an immersive experience of the country with its rich and distinctive culture.
