Telangana and UNICEF join hands to empower youth as architects of a sustainable future
In a landmark initiative to harness the creativity and energy of India’s youth, Telangana has inaugurated the nation’s first Youth Climate Action and Innovation Centre, known as Y-Hub. Established in collaboration with UNICEF India and its YuWaah initiative, the centre marks a decisive step toward enabling young people to design innovative, climate-conscious solutions for the challenges of tomorrow.
Strategically located in Hyderabad, Y-Hub is envisioned as a dynamic platform for innovation, sustainability, and social impact. “This initiative reflects Telangana’s vision of empowering our youth to become catalysts for sustainable progress,” said a senior official from the Telangana State Innovation Cell. “Y-Hub is not just a space for innovation—it is a movement to nurture responsibility, resilience, and creativity in addressing climate and developmental challenges.”

The Y-Hub offers a comprehensive ecosystem designed to cultivate design thinking, problem-solving, and entrepreneurial leadership among young people.
