Nikita Porwal has been crowned the highly prestigious Femina Miss India 2024. The 18-year-old scintillating beauty from Ujjain, Madhya Pradesh earned the coveted crown passed on by last year's titleholder, Nandini Gupta. Neha Dhupia added a touch of nostalgia as she gracefully placed the Miss India sash on the beauty pageant winner.

The dazzling event held at Famous Studios, marked the 60th edition of the beauty pageant. This year’s edition of the pageant launched a nationwide talent search, holding auditions across the country. After several rounds of auditions and grooming in the pageant’s boot camp, 30 state finalists emerged to compete at the grand finale.  Rekha Pandayy, representing the Union Territories, was declared as the first runner-up whereas Ayushi Dholakia representing Gujarat finished as the second runner-up. The grand finale took place on Wednesday night in Mumbai. Former Miss India Sangeeta Bijlani delivered a stellar performance and graced the runway. Notable attendees included actor Neha Dhupia, dancer Raghav Juyal, and a host of other celebrities. Anusha Dandekar served on the jury panel for the competition.

Nikita Porwal will now represent India at the Miss World pageant.
