The social organization; Let’s Inspire Bihar (LIB), today held a press conference in Patna to factually and calmly refute the allegations made by the Leader of the Opposition, Mr. Tejashwi Yadav, against the organization and its Chief Patron, Mr. Vikas Vaibhav, IPS.
The speakers at the press conference stated that Let’s Inspire Bihar is a completely non-political social movement dedicated to inspiring the youth of Bihar, fostering positive social transformation, and contributing to the state’s holistic development through education, entrepreneurship, and social awareness. More than 400,000 young people are currently associated with the campaign, and numerous educational and social initiatives are being carried out across various districts of Bihar.
The speakers emphasized that the presence of elected representatives from different political parties, administrative officers, academicians, industrialists, and social workers at programmes organized by a social platform is a normal feature of a democratic society. Drawing conclusions regarding personal relationships, political patronage, or financial support merely on the basis of the presence of a public representative at an event or photographs taken with them is not only factually unfounded but also contrary to the dignity of public discourse.
It was categorically clarified that Let’s Inspire Bihar does not function with financial assistance from any political party, elected representative, or external sponsor. All its activities are conducted through voluntary contributions made by its members and volunteers. Therefore, the claim that the organization is funded by any legislator or any other individual is entirely baseless and unsupported by evidence.
Referring to the recent murder of the Executive Officer of the Dehri Municipal Council in Aurangabad district, the speakers stated that the matter is being investigated by the Bihar Police strictly in accordance with the law. The facts disclosed by police officers during the preliminary investigation were shared with the public, while it was also clearly stated that the investigation is still underway and that any final conclusions will emerge only after its completion.
In such circumstances, raising questions about the impartiality of an investigating officer or dragging a social organization into the controversy without any credible evidence is not only inappropriate but also creates an apprehension of attempts to influence the ongoing investigation. The Hon’ble Supreme Court of India and various High Courts have consistently observed that unnecessary public interference in pending investigations should be avoided to ensure that investigations proceed fairly and independently. It is well known that the Hon’ble Patna High Court has also reposed confidence in honest officers like Mr. Vikas Vaibhav.
The speakers further stated that throughout his career, Mr. Vikas Vaibhav, IPS, has demonstrated integrity, impartiality, and unwavering commitment to duty. His services in significant assignments, including with the National Investigation Agency (NIA), have earned widespread appreciation. It is neither appropriate nor fair to question an officer’s professional impartiality by linking his official responsibilities with his social initiatives or family associations.
It was also clarified that Mr. Vikas Vaibhav does not hold any official or administrative position in Let’s Inspire Bihar. He is associated with the campaign solely as its Chief Patron and guiding inspiration, contributing his time to social causes during his personal hours.
Through the press conference, Let’s Inspire Bihar urged the Leader of the Opposition, Mr. Tejashwi Yadav, to provide factual answers to the following questions:
1. On what basis did he allege that a legislator provides financial support to Let’s Inspire Bihar?
2. Can the presence of an elected representative at a public event or photographs taken with them be considered evidence of financial assistance or political patronage?
3. Does he possess any banking records, documentary evidence, or any other material substantiating his allegations?
4. When the concerned legislator is not named in the relevant FIR, and the police investigation is still in progress, what justifies making such public statements?
5. Would such allegations not amount to an attempt to influence an ongoing investigation?
In conclusion, the organization once again clarified that Let’s Inspire Bihar is not affiliated with any political ideology, political party, or electoral activity. It is a social movement committed solely to the social, educational, cultural, and economic development of Bihar and welcomes every citizen willing to contribute positively towards the state’s progress.
The organization also appealed to all political parties and public representatives to keep social initiatives free from political controversies and to refrain from making unsubstantiated allegations that may harm the reputation of individuals or institutions.
Sincerely,
Aamir Ahmad
National Spokesperson
