India is set to witness the electrifying debut of two-wheel electric racing with the TVS Racing Electric One Make Championship (e-OMC) scheduled to kick off during the fourth round of the Indian National Motorcycle Road Racing Championship (INMRC) on September 29.

TVS Racing has meticulously selected eight riders who will compete astride the specially crafted TVS Apache RTE (Racing Throttle Electric) motorcycles, specifically designed for this groundbreaking championship.

This announcement coincides with India's anticipation of hosting its inaugural MotoGP race at the Buddh International Circuit (BIC) this weekend. MotoGP, the premier motorcycle racing series, launched its own electric racing series, MotoE, in 2019, predominantly based in Europe. India is on the cusp of becoming the first Asian nation to host a MotoE race next year, serving as a support event for MotoGP.

Sudarshan Venu, Managing Director of TVS, expressed the company's excitement, stating, "In alignment with our vision of offering thrilling and sustainable mobility solutions, we are delighted to introduce India's very first electric two-wheeler racing championship."
