Ranbir Kapoor's upcoming movie, "Animal," directed by Sandeep Reddy Vanga, is scheduled for a theatrical release in Hindi, Tamil, and Telugu on December 1. The film is set to clash with Vicky Kaushal-starrer "Sam Bahadur" and has already made substantial progress in its advance booking, selling over 200,000 tickets for its opening day across various languages and theaters in India.
The latest update on Animal's advance booking, shared by trade analyst Taran Adarsh, reveals that the film has surpassed a lakh tickets sold for its first day, exclusively in multiplexes. Additionally, it has generated over ₹6 crore in advance ticket sales nationwide, covering all languages and theaters, as reported by Sacnilk.com.
Taran Adarsh provided specific figures, stating that leading national chains like PVR, Inox, and Cinepolis have already sold a significant number of tickets for Animal's first day, totaling 100,000 tickets sold.
Breaking down the advance ticket sales figures provided by Sacnilk.com, Animal's Hindi version has amassed ₹5.87 crore by selling 1.76 lakh tickets across 5570 shows. The Telugu release has contributed ₹54.29 lakh, selling 33.4K tickets for 446 shows. The Tamil version has also gathered ₹32.7K across 20 shows. Altogether, Animal's advance box office collection for day 1 stands at ₹6.42 crore, with 20.9 lakh tickets sold.
"Animal" features a stellar cast including Ranbir Kapoor, Anil Kapoor, Bobby Deol, Rashmika Mandanna, and Tripti Dimri, helmed by director Sandeep Vanga of "Kabir Singh" and "Arjun Reddy" fame. Produced by T-Series and Bhadrakali Pictures, the movie has generated significant buzz since the commencement of its advance booking.
The film's advance booking commenced a week ahead of its release date, setting the stage for a pan-India showdown with Meghna Gulzar’s "Sam Bahadur." The latter stars Vicky Kaushal portraying the role of war hero Sam Manekshaw in a biopic that also features Fatima Sana Shaikh as late Prime Minister Indira Gandhi and Sanya Malhotra as Silloo, Sam's wife.
