Megha Ahuja is a young trailblazer serving as an educationist, ardent social activist, dynamic TEDx organizer, and distinguished author. Passionately believing in the power of dreams, she is venturesome to take up nerve-wracking treks with audacity and optimism.
A B.Tech from IGIT, Delhi, and an MBA from IMT, Ghaziabad; Megha joined as the Director of Vivekanand School, a premier 44-year-old educational institution in the heart of the capital with the strength of 5000 students. Her empirical skills and enterprise have propelled the inventive arena of students’ development to greater heights. She was bestowed with the prestigious International Women’s Day Award 2018-19 organized by ICUNR (Indian Council for UN Relations) for excellence in Education and Awareness in 2019. She also received the Kalam Children Impact Award organized by Kalam Center for positively influencing the young minds of India in 2016.
Megha has touched hearts through her debut novel “All I Have Is Love” published by Srishti Publishers which is a motivational romance fiction available at Amazon and all leading bookstores.
Megha has successfully organized TEDxVivekanandSchool in the years 2017, 2018, 2019, 2020, 2021 and 2022. The span and horizon of the event galore touched the aesthetic, intellectual, amusement, and philanthropic spirit and was an exhilarating experience for the students of Vivekanand School.
Motivated by the suffering of her mother, Megha has pioneered the cause of spreading awareness about Ovarian Cancer pan India. Her efforts in this line are meticulous and infectious. As the Founder of Sashakt- The Ovarian Cancer Foundation, she has reached out to lakhs of women through flagship events like Sashakt Warrior Championship, Sashakt Teal Party, Sashakt Wellness Carnival, Sashakt Hope Meet; awareness workshops in schools, colleges, and corporates; social media campaigns like #AskYourMom, #BeASashaktAmbassador, and #SashaktCrusader with participation from Mr. Rajeev Khandelwal (Actor), Mr. Manoj Muntashir (Bollywood Lyricist), Mr. Gaurav Chopra(Actor), Harmanpreet Kaur, Jhulan Goswami, Punam Raut and other women cricket players, renowned authors, entrepreneurs, and social activists. She has created awareness through her radio interviews as well on 104.8 ISHQ FM with RJ Sarthak and on 107.2 Radio Nasha with RJ Akriti. She has also created a web show available on YouTube called Sashakt Talkies which is a first-of-its-kind talk show exclusively bringing out the stories of brave cancer warriors interviewed by celebrities to inspire the world.
The social penchant of Megha was featured in a two-page story by Femina Magazine in December 2019 issue. Yourstory covered her inspiring journey with Sashakt in their article “How this woman entrepreneur is saving lives by raising awareness about Ovarian Cancer”. She is recognized as a Chetna Hero, an initiative of the Prama Jyoti Foundation to appreciate and collectively reward those who have chosen goodness as their way of life. She was awarded the "Nidarr Hamesha Champion Award" by Max HealthCare in 2019 at Taj Palace, Delhi.
Megha is the Founder of Udaan, a philanthropic school of differently abled girls wherein these children are made vocationally self-reliant by learning life skills, art, and craftwork. She ardently believes that life is the right of every individual, not a special privilege for the fortunate, the planned, and the perfect. The artistic efforts of the special girls find a place in different exhibitions, thus giving them the motivation to live with a purpose.
Illuminating the dark lives of the destitute and lesser fortunate with the candle of empathy and generosity, Megha launched the ‘Light Up A Life’ campaign wherein she inspired a human chain of volunteered social work by thousands of children and adults who identified dreams of people less privileged than them and worked on turning those dreams to reality. The initiative induced a spirit of community service and brought smiles to many.
Megha is also the author of “Girl on a Mission”, a micro fiction for creating awareness about ovarian cancer available on Kindle and in the libraries of various reputed schools in Delhi. Her story “Love in the Sky” was published in an anthology; “Twenty Shades of Love” along with other stories by renowned authors.
On the personal front, Megha is a passionate dreamer, an ardent believer, an avid reader, an adventure freak, and a travel buff who loves exploring and experimenting. She truly believes that life’s goals must embrace sensitivity to mankind, to lead it meaningfully and each one of us should contribute, in whatever ways possible, to make the world a better place to live in.
