In a recent development, the Haryana government has taken decisive action in the Nuh district. Mobile Internet services will be suspended from 10:00 AM on September 15 until 11:59 PM on September 16, and Section 144 of the CrPC has been imposed across the entire district. The government has also appealed to the public to conduct Friday prayers within their homes.

This decision was prompted by concerns over potential unrest and disturbances in the Nuh district, particularly after the arrest of Congress MLA Mamman Khan in connection with the July 31 Nuh violence. It's important to note that the government's official order did not specifically reference Khan's arrest.

The official order, issued by Home Department Additional Chief Secretary TVSN Prasad, states, "This order is issued to prevent any disturbance of peace and public order in the jurisdiction of district Nuh in the state of Haryana and shall be in force with effect from September 15 (10:00 hrs) to September 16 (23:59 hrs)."

Prasad explained that this decision came after the Nuh deputy commissioner expressed concerns about potential tension, agitation, property damage, and disruptions to peace and tranquility within the district. The additional chief secretary highlighted the risk of the misuse of Internet services to spread inflammatory content and false rumors through social media, messaging services, and other online platforms, which could lead to disruptions in law and order as well as public utilities and property damage.
