In anticipation of the 'Pran Pratishtha' ceremony scheduled for January 22, the initial glimpses of the idol of Ram Lalla, ensconced within the sanctum sanctorum of the Ram Temple in Ayodhya, have emerged. The idol is presently veiled in a white cloth. Earlier this Thursday, the installation of the Ram Lalla idol took place within the sanctum sanctorum as part of the prelude to the consecration ceremony of the Ram Temple.
Amidst the recitation of prayers, the Ram Lalla idol was positioned in the sanctum sanctorum during Thursday afternoon, as conveyed by Arun Dixit, a priest involved in the consecration ceremony, according to the Shri Ram Janmbhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust overseeing the temple construction. Anil Mishra, a trust member, conducted the 'pradhan sankalp,' symbolizing the Lord Ram's consecration for the well-being of all, the nation, humanity, and those contributing to the temple's construction. Dixit elaborated that besides the 'pradhan sankalp,' additional rituals transpired, including the distribution of 'vastras' to Brahmins, and the delegation of tasks to all participants.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi is slated to participate in the 'pran pratishtha' ceremony on January 22, with the Ram Temple expected to open to the public the following day.
