Stuart Broad; the English spearhead, shocked the entire cricketing world with his sudden retirement announcement from Test Cricket. The ongoing fifth Ashes Test will be his last appearance in the White colours. He served the English Team for around 17 years with great success along with his partner-in-crime, James Anderson. Debuting as a young lad in 2007, he went on to represent his country in 167 Test Matches and scalped more than 600 wickets just becoming only the second pace bowler to achieve the milestone of 600 wickets apart from his fellow teammate; James Anderson.
Even before donning the coveted Test Cap, Stuart Broad debuted in ODI in 2006 and went on to play 121 ODIs scalping 178 wickets. He had also debuted in T20I in 2006 where he went to represent the National team in 56 games scalping 65 wickets. He is also only one of the three bowlers to have more than 150 wickets in the Ashes series. His most memorable performance came in 2015 in Nottingham against Australia when he decimated the Australians with a fine display of swing claiming a figure of 15/8. He went on to claim 20 five-wicket hauls in Test Matches along with claiming 3 Ten-Wicket Hauls.
Apart from being a masterful pacer, Stuart Broad was also a fine batsman lower down the order. He is one of the few batsmen to be itched his name on the Lord's Honours Board for his scintillating century against Pakistan in 2010. He is only one of the two cricketers to have achieved a double of 600 test wickets and 3000 test runs.
