Deblina Bhattacharya is an award-winning author, poet, and mental health advocate from Kolkata, India. She is currently pursuing her Bachelor's degree in English literature. Her debut poetry collection, Knots, was self-published in June 2019, and the book immediately sailed to the number 1 spot in the paid poetry bestsellers list. Apart from being a Kindle and Paperback bestseller, the book also received widespread acclaim from readers and critics alike, garnering international recognition and winning two awards. Her second poetry collection, My Black Rose, was published in 2021, to rave reviews for its themes and writing style. The book became an international bestseller and secured Deblina's spot as a rising literary star. She is currently in the process of pitching the manuscript of her debut novel to publishers.
Apart from her journey with writing, Deblina is a vocal mental health advocate. To spread awareness about mental health in society, she conceptualized and compiled the anthology, MINDSCAPE, which brought together 50 eminent authors as well as emerging writers from all over India and parts of the USA to raise their voices in unison against the stigma associated with mental illness. Deblina donated all the profits from the anthology to feed poor kids during the COVID-19 crisis.
Deblina is a passionate storyteller, literature enthusiast, and art lover. An aspiring life coach, her aim is to give everyone the hope that better days are always around the corner.
